The Organizing Committee encourages authors to submit their abstracts for presentation at the Hong Kong International Dental Expo And Symposium (HKIDEAS). Abstracts of the below topics are welcome. Outstanding abstracts will be selected by the Organizing Committee for poster presentation.

Topics

Mode of Presentation & Criteria
Accepted abstract authors will be invited to present their work in poster format. The posters will be displayed on both poster boards and e-poster machines which are available for viewing throughout the Congress. The posters will be evaluated by a panel of judges (i.e. the Organizing Committee) based on:

• Interest (e.g. Is the content original, important or relevant to the industry?)
• Scientific quality and novelty (e.g. How and to what extent are the findings likely to influence clinical or research practice, education or even the Government policy?)
• Quality of visual presentation (e.g. Poster layout)
• Unique feature to attract the audience

Rewards
Each award winner will receive a certificate and a cash award:

• Best Poster: USD1,000
• 1st Runner-up: USD800
• 2nd Runner-up: USD600

The poster awards will be assigned during the congress and delivered to the winners on the occasion of the Gala Dinner.

Certificate of Participation will be sent to accepted poster presenter through email after the Congress.

Submission
Deadline: 14 June 2024
The online submission system will close after the deadline.

Preparation Guidelines

1. Abstracts must be sent exclusively through the website: hkideas.org.
2. Abstracts must be written in English. The word limit is a maximum of 300 words per abstract.
3. The content of the abstract should include the following: TITLE, AUTHOR(S), PRESENTER, INTRODUCTION, METHODS, RESULTS AND CONCLUSION. However, it is not necessary to organize the abstract under different headings.
4. The title should be in CAPITALS and in bold at the top of the abstract. Avoid using abbreviations in the title.
5. Type name(s) of author(s) with initials first, e.g. E.Lau. The authors’ names should be followed by the details of the institutions (Department, Institution, Country).
6. The accepted abstracts will be published in the promotional materials of the Congress, including, but not limited to, website and brochures.
7. Submissions do not comply with the requirement will not be considered
8. The author should warrant that all the information and content provided to the Organizer does not infringe any third-party rights, including, but not limited to, intellectual property rights.

Confirmation of Receipt and Notification of Decision
All submissions will be acknowledged on receipt. Please contact the Congress Secretariat by email hkideas@oppasys.com if you do not receive the confirmation email.

Notification regarding the status of your abstract will be sent out by early July 2024. Information for the preparation of the poster will be sent together with this notification.

The Organizing Committee reserves the right of the final decision on the acceptance of an abstract.

Registration of Poster Presenters
Authors whose poster submissions are approved by the Scientific Committee will receive one complimentary Congress registration. Co-authors are also welcome to register and attend the Congress at the early bird rate.
