Dr. Chan graduated from the University of Hong Kong in 1994. In 2005, he obtained the Membership of the Faculty of General Dental Practitioner of the Royal College of Surgeons of England. In 2007, he received his MSc in Dental Public Health from the University of London. He also earned the Postgraduate Diploma in Dental Studies by the University of Bristol in 2013. In 2019, he was awarded with both the Diplomas of Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow and Edinburgh. In 2021, he was awarded his Diploma in Implant Dentistry from the Royal College of Surgeons of England.
Dr. Chan has developed a passion in digital dentistry. He is also a pioneer in this field. He promotes low-cost 3D printing for surgical guides, dental models, provisionals, custom trays and digital dentures in Hong Kong. His interest includes digital workflow for full-arch implantology, design and 3D metal printing of stackable and swappable surgical guides and 3D printed customized Zirconia membrane for Guided Bone Regeneration.
