Dr Lai qualified from the University of Hong Kong in 2000 and was awarded the Master of Dental Surgery and Advanced diploma in Periodontology in 2003 and 2004 respectively. He then obtained the Diploma of Membership in Restorative Dentistry, Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (MRD RCSEd) in the same year.
