Shouji Hironaka is Professor of Department of Special Needs Dentistry, Division of Hygiene and Oral Health, School of Dentistry, Showa University and Chief of Showa University Oral Health Care Center. His qualification is D.D.S. in 1994 at Hokkaido University Japan, and Ph.D. in 2000 at the same university. He is the past President of International Association for Disability and Oral Health (2016-2018), and the past President of Japanese Society for Disability and Oral Health (2017-2021). His research interests are Feeding and Swallowing Disorder, Dysphagia rehabilitation, Development of feeding and swallowing function, Decline of feeding and swallowing function, Nutrition and Special Care Dentistry. He is also the Board member of the Japanese Society of Dysphagia Rehabilitation and will be the president of the 30th Anniversary Convention in 2024.
